New index on the way

Well ive been a bit inactive over the past month ... lots of anime to watch and so forth ... but things will get updated now ... slowly yes ... but it will happen.

And the first thing is this new index page we have ... sure its not finished atm but its a dang sight better than the old piece of crap we had.
The black boxes are just place holders for the moment but they will get pictures for the specific mmo at somepoint

offline stargates activate spontaneously

At just after 02:00 EVT last night, a large number of offline stargates spontaneously came online, opening access to eight previously closed-off regions of space.

CONCORD officials have issued a travel advisory intended to dissuade pilots from entering the newly-accessible regions due to "unforeseeable dangers," but since CONCORD's jurisdiction does not extend to these regions they have not been able to issue any mandates. Capsuleers are reported to be roaming the new regions already.

Revelations patch wednesday 13 december, from 1100 to 1500 gmt

We'll deploy a patch on Wednesday, 13 December, to address issues such as Salvage loot drops and Rigs, Shipwreck UI improvements (if a wreck contains loot or not, plus overview filtering), balancing in system scanning of deadspace in agents/complexes (way too easy) and exploration (way too hard and easier escalation), re-seeding a number of Tech 2 blueprints, and finally, improvments to server performance and stability. More staff and developments

Id Firstly like to welcome our new ATITD area manager Serethos who will be starting to keep the update process going soon.

And secondly just mention that although the "in detail" area is now open for some mmo's it is still in development and is prone to change in appearence now and again when im doing work on it as ive got to annoyed with transfering everything over from the test area when its ready :P.

Id also like to announce that mmogn will be covering RP news aswell as game news to give people an in depth look at what actually goes on in the game, as well as allowing players that already play the game to stay up to-date with happenings.

Cheers - Chopki

Newsletter 1

A Tale In the Desert Newsletter 1 :
T3 NewsLetter Issue 1, 05/24/06

Citizens of Egypt,

I was trying to think of some analogy to the start of a Tale. Arriving in a new city, with only the shirt on your back? Arriving on the shores of an unexplored land, along with a group your countrymen? Few of us have actually done something like that, but I suspect the feelings would be the same. So many possibilities, so much history about to be written. After a successful and fast-paced Beta, A Tale in the Desert III will launch:

Saturday, May 27, 12:00 Noon EDT (GMT-0400)

A Tale in the Desert III includes over one hundred changes and improvements to ATITD 2, but some of the most notable are:

* A new Events System that integrates Tests, Laws, Developer Chat Sessions, special contests, and other happenings.
* Principles - miniature versions of each Test. Complete each to increase your Level and open new paths.
* The Discipline of Harmony
* Unlockable Everything: Skills, Technologies, and now even Tests.
* Regional Chat

Sociolotron

In 2002 Patric started the development of Sociolotron SM as a one man project without any funding other than personal savings. Volunteers joined later to handle the community management and the in game activities, but the development is still a one man operation. However, over the past 3 years Sociolotron SM has involved into a multiplayer game with 100-200 simultaneous players online at peak times. Despite our restricted resources, we had several mentions in American and international print and online media due to the unique style and features of our game.

More fun with the design

Well as you may have noticed, not much has happened over the last week or two. This has been due to me as usual thinking "hmnnn this design looks much better" and then spending the rest of the day re-designing the site. So to put a stop to this ill be uploading a few different variations of the site over the next few days so i dont have to choose which is best :P

First different design (being tampered with at the moment by me so it may not all work properly) http://www.mmogn.com/purple/
